From coconut to a more focused oil
MCT stands for medium-chain triglycerides, a family of fats distinguished by the length of their fatty-acid chains.
MCT oils are commonly derived from coconut oil and refined to concentrate particular medium-chain fatty acids. Among them is caprylic acid, also known as C8.
Rather than using coconut oil in its broader natural form, MCT processing allows specific fractions to be isolated and brought into a much more focused oil. That distinction reflects something important about Neuroleva: understanding which part belongs in the formula and why.
